AI for commercial real estate brokers

AI for commercial real estate brokers, set up the way a broker works.

Most AI tools for real estate are built for residential agents. This page covers what AI actually does inside a commercial shop, what it gets wrong, and how to start without a software project.

What it does in a working commercial shop

The useful work is the work that repeats. Every listing needs an offering memorandum, a flyer, Crexi copy, a listserv post and social posts. Every inquiry needs a fast reply. Every month brings new trustee sale postings, renewals coming due and listings that need refreshing. AI handles the drafting, the checking and the reminders. Your agents handle the relationships and the judgment.

Where AI goes wrong in commercial real estate

AI will repeat a stale number with total confidence. In my own shop, a prior-year appraisal district value went out in an email as if it were current. Now every skill that touches a county figure reads it from the source in the same session and names the tax year. Read that case.

AI also writes like a chatbot unless it's taught your voice. Each install includes a voice file written from your agents' own emails and a house rules file with your terms, forms and words you never use.

Software, an agency, or an install

Platforms such as Buildout and Crexi are adding AI features inside their own products. Those help inside one product. Virtual assistant agencies add people, and someone still has to train them. An install puts the system inside your own accounts, set up to match how your shop already works, so it carries across every tool you use.

How to start

Start with marketing. It is the easiest win to see in one meeting: one listing, one OM, one Crexi draft and one week of posts. The two-week Marketing Sprint is $2,500 and is credited toward the full Marketing install. See pricing.

Common questions

What can AI do for a commercial real estate broker?

In a working shop it drafts marketing pieces, answers inquiries, works prospecting lists, pulls comps, fills completion sheets for your forms and keeps a running list of what needs doing. A licensed agent reviews everything before it goes out.

What can't it do?

It can't replace a broker's relationships, local knowledge or judgment on price. It also gets county figures wrong unless it's made to read them from the source every time, which is why that rule is built into every install.

Which AI tools does a commercial broker need?

Claude on a Team or Enterprise plan, your email and drive, your CRM, and the listing and marketing tools you already use, such as Crexi, Buildout, Blotato and Constant Contact. The shop pays each one directly.
